J. R. R. Tolkien is widely known as the father of modern fantasy but more than that, he changed my world. Reading the Hobbit for the first time introduced me to heroes and villains, races and languages, ideas and principles and a history that is deep, rich, and impossible to fully explore. The care and mastery that went into every word is impossible to appreciate but lives on over 80 years later.

This simple site is in honor of a man who – in the process of creating an imaginary world – shaped the real world.
